Artist's Comments

I decieded to do a half asian half native american/canadian monk. I love doing this kind of skin tone, and the colours, although intense, seem to blend in with one another *pride*. I thought that the flames around him would represent light, often associated with truth and wisdom, not to mention that it goes with the coloue scheme XD.

Ooooo...He's Fuuuun...Maybe he's not half & half, maybe he's from an even older Mother-Civilization?

Maybe he knows the Secrets of life...Hmmmmmmmmmmm...& can present them in a very Zen-Philosophical Format witrh minimal words? Something about Dragonflies & Watercress?

Don't mid me, just glad to have you Back to spark deep thoughts...though I'm a bit rusty now...

i really like the color scheme on this one. the little flames are especially effective, and the cloak is incredible.

No, you're not rusty. I like it when you post those deep thoughts, it's just what I want my artwork to do!

NOway! I'm terrible at computer stuff, I'm best with traditional tools. Plus, I feel more satisfied when I use traditional art materials.... I can't quite pin point why, but doing things the old fashioned way just brings more satisfaction and pride.

I like it, although the way the cloak falls makes me think of the front of a person rather than the back. This resulted in some double-taking for a bit.

Otherwise, nice work ^_^

Oh, it's not really a cloak! It's a very long arm dangly bit, like his shirt is torn off and a bit ruff and tumble looking like he just won a battle. Thanks though!
